Fairmined positioning in international markets, especially in the United States and Europe. In addition, the Fairmined initiative has become stronger at the international level. Challenges
- Continuing to raise awareness in the market about the need for responsible gold production and consumption as well as the positive impacts it generates for small-scale mining communities.
- Promoting the inclusion of Fairmined Ecological Gold in the market sourcing model, while recognizing the efforts that certified mining organizations make to improve their mining practices to produce toxic-free gold at a higher level of environmental commitment. Three Fairmined certified mining organizations currently offer ecological gold, but its demand is still limited.
- Building an efficient Fairmined supply chain in Mongolia, where the Central Bank acts as an intermediary between certified mining organizations and buyers.
